Earn Free Stocks

Investing should be a part of your portfolio and nowadays getting into it is not as scary as it used to be. This is no longer a business just for men in suits down in Wall Street, who manage million dollar funds. Banks and fintechs have made it easy for everyone to get into investing with very little money. Free trading is now the norm, and many platforms also offer stock bits, which means that you can just buy $1 worth of stock. Even if that stock is priced at $1,000. While making investing easy, these platforms are also giving out free stocks to attracts customers in a crowded field.

In this article I will list all the way to earn free stocks. Bonuses change from time to time and the value of free stocks is usually anywhere from $5 to $1,000. These are accounts that I have myself, and I even use them to trade beyond just the signup bonus. Here’s the list of investing platforms that you will find in these article:

SoFi Invest

SoFi invest is part of SoFi, which also offers banking services and crypto. I have covered this offer in the past. You get $100 worth of your favorite stock to start building your portfolio when you fund your SoFi Invest account with at least $1,000.

Sign Up for SoFi Invest

I like the interface for SoFi Invest. It’s one of the better apps in my opinion, but I do not use it for active trading. The bonus take about one week to post.

Moomoo

This stock could be valued anywhere from $10 to $1,000.

Robinhood is one of the better known applications for free trading. They recently started offering stock bits and a cash management account with 1.80 APY. You get one free stock when you sign up, valued up to $1,000.

Robinhood has more advanced features than others listed here, so it could be the better option if you are looking to actively trade. With Robinhood Gold you also get Level 2 market data and research. I use Robinhood daily myself, mostly on their website which is a great option for those who are on the computer during the day. But they also have a well designed app.

Firstrade

Firstrade is offering a free stock when you sign up for a new account. You don’t need to fund the account in order to get the stock. This is a free trading platform with limitations. But the signup process is quick and easy and looks like there’s a good chance you will receive a big stock.

I got an Uber share valued at $30 when I signed up. Then out of a few referrals I have received there was an Apple stock valued at over $300, and another Uber and AMD share ($46). Much better than what I have seen with other apps. It is not a guarantee however that you will get the same thing.

Nvstr

Nvstr is another trading platform, but not a free one. They do not have an app at all actually, it is only a website. So I’m not a huge fan since it is difficult to stay connect on the go. But you do get a free stock and $8 to $1,000 in cash to invest when you sign up.

I received a $12 stock and $15 in cash when I signed up. Keep in mind that funds cannot be withdrawn for 1 year, and you must place a trade within 1 month.

Public

This is a free trading platform better suited for beginners. But it also offers 2.5% APY interest on uninvested cash, which is a great rate. Public is similar to other free-trading apps, but it comes with a twist, social interactivity. Users can see what their friends and other popular users are buying and selling, to get an idea of which stocks are popular. Doing research or consulting a financial adviser is probably a better idea though. Instead of a random stock, you get $10 worth that you can invest on a stock you want. You don’t need to fund the account.

Gurus’ Wrap-up

I have signed up for all these apps just to get the free stock offered as part of the signup bonus. But if you decide to sign up as well, make sure to keep track of all the accounts that you have, so you don’t forget them. Then you can check out each one and decide for yourself which one to use for active trading. As I mentioned above, I use Robinhood myself. I have taken a quick look at the other platforms and decided to stay with Robinhood. But that doesn;t mean that it is the best fit for everyone.

Let me know if you use these platforms or others. Also please tell me about any other free trading apps or websites that offer similar bonuses.
