Investing should be a part of your portfolio and nowadays getting into it is not as scary as it used to be. This is no longer a business just for men in suits down in Wall Street, who manage million dollar funds. Banks and fintechs have made it easy for everyone to get into investing with very little money. Free trading is now the norm, and many platforms also offer stock bits, which means that you can just buy $1 worth of stock. Even if that stock is priced at $1,000. While making investing easy, these platforms are also giving out free stocks to attracts customers in a crowded field.

I use Robinhood daily myself, mostly on their website which is a great option for those who are on the computer during the day. But they also have a well designed app.

Public is similar to other free-trading apps, but it comes with a twist, social interactivity. Users can see what their friends and other popular users are buying and selling, to get an idea of which stocks are popular. Doing research or consulting a financial adviser is probably a better idea though. Instead of a random stock, you get $10 worth that you can invest on a stock you want. Gurus’ Wrap-up
I have signed up for all these apps just to get the free stock offered as part of the signup bonus. But if you decide to sign up as well, make sure to keep track of all the accounts that you have, so you don’t forget them. Then you can check out each one and decide for yourself which one to use for active trading. As I mentioned above, I use Robinhood myself. I have taken a quick look at the other platforms and decided to stay with Robinhood. But that doesn’t mean that it is the best fit for everyone.
Let me know if you use these platforms or others. Also please tell me about any other free trading apps or companies giving away free stock, or similar bonuses.
