Marriott Hints at New and Refreshed Credit Cards
During Marriott’s latest earnings call, CEO Anthony Capuano announced that Marriott has signed new long-term agreements for its U.S. co-branded credit card program with JPMorgan Chase and American Express.
While Marriott didn’t reveal any specific changes, Capuano indicated that the new agreements will lead to new and refreshed U.S. credit card products with enhanced cardholder benefits. According to Marriott, the improved cards are expected to drive growth in both new card accounts and overall card spending.
Marriott also cautioned that cardholders shouldn’t expect immediate announcements. Capuano noted that developing and launching refreshed credit card products takes several quarters.
Marriott’s Bonvoy portfolio currently includes a wide range of consumer and business cards issued by both Chase and American Express.
