Bank of America Free Museums for 2026

Bank of America has updated its popular Museums on Us® program for 2026, giving eligible cardholders free admission to hundreds of museums and cultural attractions across the United States.

Through Museums on Us, Bank of America, Merrill and Bank of America Private Bank credit and debit cardholders receive one free general admission to participating institutions during the first full weekend of every month. The program includes art and history museums, children’s museums, science centers, aquariums, gardens and other cultural attractions. 

The program has expanded to 250 participating cultural and civic institutions across 43 states and 158 cities in 2026, so there is a good chance you can find an eligible location nearby.

Museums on Us Dates for 2026

The free-admission weekends for 2026 are:

How to Get Free Admission

Visit a participating institution during the first full weekend of the month and present:

• An active Bank of America, Merrill or Bank of America Private Bank credit or debit card
• A valid government-issued photo ID

Each eligible cardholder receives one free general admission. The benefit is limited to the person whose name appears on the card, so it does not include free admission for guests or children unless they have their own qualifying card. 

The offer covers standard general admission only. It does not include special or ticketed exhibitions, enhanced experiences, fundraising events or other separately priced activities. The benefit is nontransferable, cannot be combined with other offers and does not guarantee admission if the institution reaches capacity.

Some participating locations may require advance reservations or have different procedures for Museums on Us visitors. Check the museum’s listing and operating hours before making the trip.

Bank of America’s Museums on Us program remains a valuable and easy-to-use cardholder benefit in 2026. With 250 participating institutions nationwide, cardholders can visit museums, aquariums, gardens, science centers and other attractions for free on the first full weekend of every month.

There is no stated annual limit on the number of eligible weekends you can use, so you can return to the same museum throughout the year or visit multiple participating institutions during one weekend. Just remember that the free admission applies only to the cardholder and generally covers standard admission, not special exhibitions.
