Chase has increased the signup bonus for the Chase Sapphire Preferred credit card. The regular bonus is 50,000 Ultimate Rewards points but it has now been increased by 10,000.
Chase Sapphire Preferred 60K Offer
Earn 60,000 Bonus Points after you spend $4,000 on purchases in the first 3 months from account opening. That’s $750 in Travel Rewards when redeemed through Chase Ultimate Rewards.
Plus earn 5,000 Bonus Points after you add the first authorized user and make a purchase in the first 3 months from account opening.
5/24 Rule
Chase won’t approve you for some cards if you’ve applied for more than five new cards in the last two years and the Chase Sapphire Preferred card falls under that 5/24 rule. These targeted offers sent by mail or email, do not bypass the 5/24 rule, so even if you did receive the offer, you need to be under 5/24.
If you were targeted, but over 5/24, then there might be a way to qualify. Those who have received this offer, are also able to see the same exact offer when checking their Chase accounts for “Selected For You” offers. These pre-approved offers do bypass the 5/24 rule.
Guru’s Wrap-Up
A great bonus that we haven’t seen through a public link. It was possible to get it just recently through pre-approved in-branch offers, but it’s available to everyone now through this new link.
