The main reason for holding on to the legacy Hyatt credit card is that the annual fee is only $75, and you still get a free night certificate annually. That is $20 less than the newer World of Hyatt Visa card.
Chase has increased welcome bonuses on all three personal Southwest credit cards. You can now get 65,000 Southwest points with each card, if you spend $2,000 within the first three months. The offers show up through referral links, which gives you an added bonus.
Chase reps are able to add the 5% cash back on grocery store purchases on up to $12,000 spent in the first year. Remember that this does not include Target or Walmart purchases.
Chase has added made the signup bonus of Freedom cards much better. Besides the current $200 welcome offer, you can also earn 5% on grocery purchases during the first year. This is limited to just $12,000.
Chase Marriott Bonvoy Bold and the Chase Marriott Bonvoy Boundless card have new welcome bonuses for 50,000 points and 100,000 points respectively. These are offers that we have seen in the past, but are now back again and are better that what was offered recently.
Chase is adding new limited time perks for Marriott credit cards. Starting on July 15, Chase Marriott Bonvoy cardmembers will be able to earn 10x points on purchases at restaurants and gas stations.
The new benefits might be even better than advertised. Some data points show that restaurant purchases and other food delivery apps (at least DoorDash) orders besides Instacart are also earning 5X Ultimate Rewards points.
From July 1 to Sept. 30, both Chase Sapphire cards will earn 3x to 10x bonus points for every dollar spent on purchases at gas stations, on select streaming services and Instacart orders. Cardholders also get up to $50 in statement credits toward an Instacart Express membership.
Chase Freedom is a great card to have in your wallet. It comes with no annual fee and it earns Ultimate Rewards points when you have another Chase premium card. Now the Chase Freedom bonus categories have been revealed for Q3 2020 and I’m sure most people will be excited.
One question that we all had was whether redeeming points for these purchases would cancel out the points earned for the purchase. This is important since Chase has increased earning on groceries, from May 1 through June 30, 2020, for Chase Sapphire Reserve and Sapphire Preferred cardholders. You earn 5x and 3x respectively.
Chase seems to have ramped up the practice, with many reports of lowered credit limits in the last few days. Chase has sent out letters or emails to let cardholders know that their credit card limit has been reduced. Some people might also just see a reduction in credit limit, but haven’t received an official notification yet.

$300 annual credit will be automatically applied to purchases at grocery stores and gas stations from June 1 through the end of the year. Also point are worth 1.5 cents towards a statement credit used to offset purchases at grocery stores, home improvement stores and dining establishments.
100,000 miles have at least double the value of $525, so if you wanted the miles, hopefully you applied for the previous offer. But if you want to use the benefits of the card, such as lounge access, free Global Entry, Premier access etc, without paying anything the first year, this could be an option for you.
But now, for a limited time, United is offering a value of 1.5¢ per mile to pay your annual fees on United credit cards. That’s a very good value, especially now. The promotion applies only if your annual fee was billed in March, April, or May.
Chase is targeting some of its cardholders once again with an offer to easily earn $5 or $10 statement credit just for going paperless.
