North Shore Bank has a $100 bonus for new checking accounts. You need to complete a direct deposit or monthly transactions to get the bonus.

Bonus Requirements

Debit card or direct deposit bonus of $10.00 will be credited to the new checking account each month after your statement cycles for up to 10 months provided you have had 10 qualified debit card transactions or a direct deposit for that statement cycle.

New checking bonus will begin with the January 2018 statements.

Direct deposit must be payroll, Social Security, pension or other government benefits. Fees may be applied and could reduce earnings. For tax reporting purposes, a 1099 will be issued for all bonus payments.

Guru’s Wrap-Up

Not the best bonus around since it is only $100 total, requires 10 debit transactions monthly and you need to wait 10 months to get full bonus. They had a similarly structured bonus recently for $200. They’re also sensitive to too many ChexSystems inquiries. In the terms they note that incentive credit will not be paid if promo code is retrieved from a deals website, but I’m not sure how they would prove that.
