North Shore Bank has a $100 bonus available for new checking account and a $50 referral bonus for those who already have an accounts.

Bonus Requirements

Debit card or direct deposit bonus of $10.00 will be credited to the new checking account each month after your statement cycles for up to 10 months provided you have had 10 qualified debit card transactions or a direct deposit for that statement cycle.

New checking bonus will begin with the May 2018 statements. Direct deposit must be payroll, Social Security, pension or other government benefits. Fees may be applied and could reduce earnings. For tax reporting purposes, a 1099 will be issued for all bonus payments.

Guru’s Wrap-Up

Not the best bonus around since it is only $100 total, requires 10 debit transactions monthly and you need to wait 10 months to get full bonus. They just had a $300 bonus recently that just expired. They’re also sensitive to too many ChexSystems inquiries. Doesn’t look like you need to be referred to get the $100 bonus, but it might be best to skip and just wait for something better.
