Hilton Honors Extends Free Weekend Night Rewards

Hilton extended global loyalty benefits and unveiling 2022 policies earlier this fall. Now the Hilton Honors, in partnership with American Express, is furthering its commitment to provide members with flexibility and control by announcing the extension of Free Weekend Night Rewards. These are free night rewards that cardmembers earn for having a card or reaching a spending threshold. There’s also a targeted offer currently where you earn a free night with $8,000 spend.

Here are the dates for this latest extension:

• Free Weekend Night Rewards issued through June 30, 2020 have been extended and will now expire July 1, 2022.
• Free Weekend Night Rewards issued between July 1 – December 31, 2020 expire 24 months from date of issuance.
• Free Weekend Night Rewards issued between January 1 – December 31, 2021 will expire December 31, 2022.
• Free Weekend Night Rewards issued between January 1 – December 31, 2022 will expire 12 months from the date of issuance.

There’s also an addition improvement when it comes to these free night awards. All Hilton Honors American Express Card Members can now view their Free Weekend Night Rewards, including total number of rewards, expiration dates and usage activity, online via HiltonHonors.com. This makes it easier to see how many you have, and also figure out from which card you have earned a specific reward. However, to redeem a Free Weekend Night Reward, Card Members still need to call Hilton Honors Customer Care at 1-800-446-6677.

Finally, as a reminder, Free Weekend Night Rewards, including those issued in 2022, can continue to be used any night of the week (not just on weekends), and Hilton Honors Bonus Points earned from eligible purchases on any Hilton Honors American Express Card will continue to count as Base Points toward Elite tier qualification and Lifetime Diamond status through December 31, 2022.
