Firstrade, Sign Up to Get One Free Stock
Firstrade is offering a free stock when you sign up for a new account. This is a free trading platform with limitations. But the signup process is quick and easy and looks like there’s a good chance you will receive a big stock. I got an Uber share valued at $30, and out of a few referrals I have received there was another Uber and AMD share ($46). Much better than what I have seen with other apps.
Firstrade
Firstrade is yet another online trading platform based in Flushing, Queens in NYC. It provides $0 commissions for stock and options trades, but it is not ideal for active investing as it has limited tools. Also there’s no no forex, crypto, futures, or futures options trading. Customer service is limited to regular business hours.
Free Stock When You Sign Up
You can get one free stock when you sign up. You don’t need to fund the account in order to get the stock.
The free stock is one share selected randomly and determined by an algorithm. There is an approximately 98% chance of the free stock having a value of $3-$10, an approximately 1% chance of the free stock having a value of $10-$50, and an approximately 1% chance of the free stock having a value of $50-$200, based on the price of shares at the time of purchase. Free stocks are chosen from the most popular companies on Firstrade, based on the trading volume in the last quarter.
You can also refer people and get a free stock for every person that signs up. If you referring family members for example, that is one stock for you and one for them. You can share links in the comments as well.
More Free Stocks
There’s many similar apps and websites for free stock and options trading. And many of them have similar or better offers. Here’s a few that I have covered here on the site.
- SoFi Invest ($100 Bonus)
- Moomoo (2 Free stocks)
- Nvstr (Free Stock + $15+)
- WeBull (2 Free stocks)
- Robinhood (Free stock)
- Public ($10 in Stocks)
Guru’s Wrap-up
There’s plenty of these apps and websites out there. If you’re just signing up for the free stocks, make sure to keep track of all the accounts that you have, so you don’t forget about them. Personally I have been using TradeStation and Robinhood for more active trading, but I do have accounts for all the companies that I write about here.
Let me know what app or website you use.
