American Express has sent out some emails in the last few days, offering a generous bonus for signing up for ‘Pay Over Time’. They do so every few months, and it is usually a targeted offer. But sometimes you’re able to get it even when not receiving an email.
What Is Pay Over Time
The “Pay Over Time” program is available for American Express charge cards and it basically makes them credit cards, as you don’t have to pay in full by your due date. DON’T DO THIS. Always pay your credit card balances in full.
But it is an option that you can sign up for, without having to actually use it. Wait for a bonus to sign up.
The Offer
American Express if offering 10,000 Membership Rewards points when you sign up and are approved by 05/13/2017 for ‘Pay Over Time’ on your charge card. The offer is targeted and it was sent to some members by email. There’s no hard inquiry to opt in ‘Pay Over Time’.
If you didn’t receive an email, you can still check if you’re targeted. You have the following options:
- Log in here with your charge card credentials
- Call Amex at 1-866-280-4438 and mention Offer Code: CF2O:0008

- Must be targeted
- Over valid through 5/13/2017
- Must be enrolled in Membership Rewards Program
- One offer per American Express OPEN Business Card account
- Points will be credited within 6-8 weeks
