Delta Vacations has a new promotion this that lets you redeem SkyMiles at a rate of two cents each. That’s twice as much as the normal value. This Delta Vacations promo could be a great opportunity to use up your Skymiles and also earn miles for the flight portion.

For this week only, your miles count double when you book a Delta Vacations package anywhere in the world. $1,000 towards a vacation package now costs 50,000 miles instead of 100,000 miles.
The promotion is valid now through Saturday Aug. 30, when you redeem miles toward a flight and hotel package with at least a two-night stay. You can redeem up to 999,999 miles.

This could be a great opportunity for Delta SkyMiles members, especially for those who already have lots of miles. But with the right deal, it even makes sense to transfer Amex Membership Rewards points and pay the fees.
When booking with Delta Vacations sometimes you get cheaper flight than booking an award flight alone. So it’s definitely worth looking and playing around with different dates and destinations. But the deal gets even better. Not only can you book with SkyMiles, but the flights are booked as paid fares. That means that you will earn both redeemable SkyMiles and Medallion Qualification Miles.
