Delta Vacations Improves Earning and Redemption Rates
Delta SkyMiles® Members can now get even more value with Delta Vacations, thanks to program enhancements that begin today. SkyMiles are worth more when you use them to book Delta Vacations, plus now members earn more miles and MQDs than ever before.
More Value
Miles are now worth at least 15% more when put toward any Delta Vacations destination at any time. This means SkyMiles Members can get more vacation value for their miles than ever before.
The value of SkyMiles through Delta Vacations was previously a fixed 1 cent per mile. Now you get the extra 15% in value, or 1.15 cents per mile, or even more in some cases. So 1,000 SkyMiles are worth $11.50.
Earn More
When booking Delta Vacations packages, SkyMiles Members can now earn more miles and MQDs than ever before. Additionally, Members can use their miles to cover all or a portion of the vacation package, including hotels, transportation and activities/excursions.
Before, you earned up to 5,000 bonus miles on a Delta Vacations package. Now, you can earn up to 10,000 bonus miles per person on every vacation experience you book, on top of the miles you earn for your flight. Here’s how it works:
You’ll also earn your MQMs and MQSs toward status the same way you would earn if you booked a flight only with Delta. That means:
- General SkyMiles Members: 5 miles for every $1
- Silver Medallion Members: 7 miles for every $1
- Gold Medallion Members: 8 miles for every $1
- Platinum Medallion Members: 9 miles for every $1
- Diamond Medallion Members: 11 miles for every $1
