Citizens Bank is celebrating America’s 250th anniversary with a limited-time branch offer worth up to $750. To earn the full bonus, you’ll need to open your first eligible Citizens personal checking and savings accounts at a participating branch, complete the required direct deposits and savings deposits, and keep both accounts open through the payout date.
This promotion is only available for a very short window, from July 10 through July 18, 2026, and is limited to Citizens branches in Delaware, New Jersey, and Pennsylvania. It’s a much better offer than the usual $500. Let’s see how it works.
How to Earn This Bonus
This Citizens Bank $750 bonus comes in three parts:
- Get $250 when you open your first personal checking account and make one or more direct deposits totaling $1,250 or more within 60 days.
- Get $250 when you open your first personal Citizens Savings account on the same date as you open your personal Citizens Checking account. Then make monthly deposits of $2,500 or more for 3 consecutive months.
- To receive an additional $250 and earn the full $750 bonus you must qualify for both the Checking and Savings bonuses noted above.
The three savings deposit months can begin either during the month the accounts are opened or during the following month. For example, the qualifying months may be July, August, and September, or August, September, and October.
The bonus will appear in the new checking account as a “Balance Builder Bonus.” Citizens says the payment will be made by November 30, 2026, provided all requirements are completed and the accounts remain open and active.
The bonus will be reported to the IRS as taxable income. If the checking account is closed before the payout date, the savings account will also become ineligible for the promotion.

The checking portion requires $1,250 in direct deposits, while the savings portion requires you to move in at least $2,500 per month for three months and finish with a balance of at least $7,500.
