Chase Updates IHG Cards Portfolio, New Business Card Coming in March
Chase and InterContinental Hotels Group (IHG) have announced today an upgrade to the Chase IHG Rewards Credit Card portfolio which will go into effect on March 24, 2022. Existing IHG Traveler, Premier and Business cardmembers will receive information and details directly from Chase and IHG starting this week.
As you know from last week, in a recent announcement, IHG unveiled a new vision for its loyalty program and shared the first of many changes that will be introduced in the coming months. The new loyalty program will bring a new tier and a bonus point earning structure that will help cardmembers earn points faster, with more ways to use points than ever before. Now credit cards will be upgraded to go along with the program changes.
The $49 IHG Select Card should not be affected. The changes going into effect on March 24, 2022, will only impact the benefits offered on the IHG Rewards Traveler, Premier and Premier Business Credit Cards. But once the new card benefits launch, IHG Rewards Select cardmembers can product change to another Chase IHG Rewards consumer card (Traveler or Premier) but will be unable to apply for a Traveler or Premier card while still holding a Select card.
