Chase has made some minor changes to the cut off time for making credit card payments on their website. Previously, on your due date, you were only able to make online payment to your credit card until 8PM. If it was past 8PM, you had to call in and make a payment over the phone to avoid late fees.
Now the cut off time for making on-time payments online has been extended until 11:59PM on due date. Even though the payment will be considered on time, you’ll see it on your account tomorrow and you will be charged any related fees. However, those fees will be removed before your next statement.
This does make it more convenient to make payments on Chase cards, but you should probably not leave your credit card payments for the last minute. You can see all payment related deadlines here.
