The old bonus is still available. You can apply through this working link. As a reminder, you will receive 2 free nights at any Hyatt hotel or resort worldwide after you spend $2,000 on purchases with the Hyatt Credit Card in the first 3 months from account opening.

Which Bonus Is Better?

This could be seen as good or bad news, depending on your travel habits. To better understand the value of each bonus and how they compare to each other, we first need to look at the award chart for World of Hyatt.

The current bonus of 2 nights has the potential to be worth as much as 60,000 points if used at a Category 7 hotel. That’s the reason that many travelers who prefer luxury stays favor the 2 night bonus.

Since the 2 Free Night bonus is only better when used at Category 6 & 7 hotels, here’s the full list of hotels that you should enjoy with those free nights. Select category 6 or 7 and your preferred continent.

On the other hand, a 40,000 points bonus, can only get you one night at a Category 7 hotel. But, it can get you way more than 2 nights if you’re looking for quantity instead of luxury. Points also give you the possibility to book Points + Cash stays that give even more value to your points during Hyatt promotions.

With 10% or 15% back in points promotions, this gives you a lot of value.

Guru’s Wrap-Up

The card doesn’t fall under the Chase 5/24 rule, so most people will be able to apply is they missed out on the 2 Free Nights bonus. But don’t delay your application for long, this link will not last.

If you just want the 40K points, then you should have plenty of time let.
