Here’s a round up of posts, news, deals and other stuff that caught my attention in the last few days. I either don’t have the expertise, or was too lazy to write about them. Or maybe they’re just fun reads and not really travel/credit cards/deals related. I’ll add more posts to it during the day if I find anything else that I think will interest you, so check back.
- Has the Starwood to Marriott conversion ratio been leaked? by Head for Points – Lots of speculation here, but allegedly the conversion ratio from Starwood Preferred Guest points to Marriott Rewards points will be 1:3
- Amalfi Coast, Pompeii and Pizza Galore by Miles For Family – A great trip report and also suggestions on how to use miles and points to get there. I’ve been to Italy a few times and one of those times I stayed near Naples and I visited almost the exact same places covered in this post. Obviously they have the best pizzas, they invented it, but there’s so much more. Definitely a must.

- Spirit Airlines or Military Transport? Testing Their New Exposed Metal Seats in the Wild by Miles To Memories – I haven’t had the pleasure yet, but that looks really uncomfortable. That’s still better than standing though, like this guy.
- Excellent hotel discounts via… Greyhound by Frequent Miler – You need to book a bus trip or join their Road Rewards program in order to take advantage of these discounts. Always compare rates but looks like you can find some great prices in there
- According to the Rep: Israel Is NOT In Europe by Running With Miles – Forget geography class, this is the world of miles and yes Israel is in Europe. And here’s some more proof from the world of soccer.
- Couple Faces Jail Time After Trying To Buy iPhone At Airport Without Flying by OneMileAtATime – I guess you shouldn’t play around with refundable tickets in Singapore if you don’t have any intentions of flying
- 1,000 Air Canada Aeroplan Miles For Signing Up for a Fairmont President’s Circle Account With Promo Code FED16
- $10 Off $50 At Home Depot/Max With Coupon Code: 1S616T0XHE0TFA (Gift Cards, Technology & HP/Epson Ink Excluded)
- How Chase Made the Perfect High for Credit Card Junkies by Bloomberg – Yes, it’s about the CSR. TPG had to literally “sit down, because it sounded way too good to be true”
