It’s possible that they merge multiple applications in the same day into just one hard pull.

Guru’s Wrap-Up

This is the new highest bonus offered for this credit card. You need to spend a total of $12,000 in order to earn the total bonus of 80,000 Alaska Airlines miles. That’s not an easy feat for most people. But you have a full year to complete the spending. The offer is targeted though, so you must have received the offer directly by mail or email in order to qualify.

We also saw the previous highest offer of 65K miles sent out by mail at first, and then it because the new public offer.

  1. I have talked to 3 people at BofA’s Travel Plan asking what are “net purchases” to qualify for the 40,000 bonus miles. I was told by one that only “retail” purchases for material things count and that purchases for services like my hairdresser do not count. Another said all purchases count. Does anyone know which one is correct?

Y’up, that’s what I got as well. It will be tough, but I think we can make that happen for 40K points… 🙂

  3. I just got this offer in the mail (4/25) and it was actually 40k miles after $2000 spend and then additional 40k after spending a total of $15,000 in 9 months!
