Brex Card and Cash Account, Get Up to $1,100 Bonus When You Sign Up

Brex is a corporate card for startup companies, different from the usual cards in the market today. Instead of evaluating applications based on a business owner’s personal credit, it focuses on the funding of the business itself. Signing up will not affect your credit score. The Brex card also earns valuable rewards that can be transferred to travel partners. You earn up to 8x on Rideshare, 5x on Brex travel and 4x at Restaurants.

Now Brex also offering an increased signup bonus when you apply and are approved for a new Brex Card and Cash account. With this bonus you can get up to 110,000 bonus points. This is a bonus that we have seen in the past, but it is now structured differently. It is much better than the usual signup bonus of $250 that is available through referrals.

Let’s see how this 110K Brex bonus works.

Earn up to 110,000 points, worth $1,100 or more (when transferred to travel partners):

  • Get 30,000 points after spending $3,500, or 80,000 points after spending $9,000 within 30 days.
  • Plus:
    • 10,000 points after spending $3,000 in the first 3 months.
    • And 20,000 points when you connect your payroll to Brex or deposit sales revenue from ecommerce platforms.

You must own a business that is registered in the United States as a C-corpS-corpLLC, or LLP in order to get this 110K Brex bonus.

Earning Rewards

The Brex card can earn up to 8X back for on rideshares, 5X on travel, 4x on restaurants and more. You earn more rewards if you make daily card payments using Brex Cash. These are the earning rates for daily card payments:

If you do monthly card payments, you still get more generous rewards over traditional cards. Here are the rates for monthly card payments:

  • 4x on flights and hotels booked through Brex Travel
  • 3x on restaurants and dining
  • 3x on eligible Apple products like Mac and iPhone, via the Brex portal
  • 2x on recurring software like Salesforce, Zendesk, Twilio, and more

Transfer ratio is 1 to 1 for all partner airlines, but we have seen some promotions in recent months that increase the ratio to 1:1.2 or even 1:1.25.

Other Perks

The Brex card is a participant in the Mastercard Easy Savings program for business cards. The program is free, requires no coupons or codes, and you don’t have to do anything to enroll. You save an extra 4% at select hotels and restaurants and 1% at select gas stations among other things.

My Experience

I signed up for a Brex account just for the signup bonus more than a year ago when they offered a 110K bonus. But soon after I transferred my business account from Chase to Brex and and have been using the Brex card for monthly expenses for one of my businesses.

Brex Cash is a bank account alternative that companies of any size can use to deposit cash, send payments, and track spend. With the Brex Card, it’s your new financial OS. You can sign up online within minutes and start using all the features. From there, it’s free to send ACH & wire transfers even internationally. The Brex Card is part of the same account and payment are made automatically wither daily or monthly, depending on which version you have.

The ease of use, either through the app or on desktop, has been one of the main features. Handling employee cards is a breeze. You can quickly add employee virtual and physical cards, and set spending limits for each of them. Employees can be grouped by categories as well, which makes things much easier for larger companies.

You can easily check all your transactions and the rewards you have earned from each one. For each transaction, you can quickly add notes or upload receipts using the app or on desktop. Employees can also access their own card accounts to check their spending and enter similar information about each transaction.

The account offers detailed reports, team management, and integration with QuickBooks, Oracle, Zero, Gusto sand more. Customer support has also been excellent so far.

The only downsides that I have noticed so far is that you are not able to withdraw cash from your account, and Zelle is not an option for sending and receiving money.

Guru’s Wrap-up

This is a big bonus worth up to $1,100 and the card and the account are both great products. I signed up myself for the welcome bonus last year, and have been using the card and the account for one of my businesses constantly. But this new bonus requires  a large amount of spend, so make sure you have the means to complete it.

Note that not everyone can apply, since you need to have a registered C-corp, S-corp, LLC, or LLP. But if you are eligible, it is definitely worth going for it, since there’s no hard pull on your personal credit report. Their cards have no annual fee and their cash management product comes with a several benefits and no monthly fees either. The travel partners are also a big boost for the rewards program, and can be an additional value for those who are familiar with the redemption side. We have also seen some big bonuses for current users in the past.

Let me know if you plan to go for this 110K Brex bonus, or if you currently have a Brex account.

    1. I don’t remember exactly, but I think it was within a week. You can start using the virtual card right away.
