Wells Fargo Will Convert All Propel Cards to Autograph
Wells Fargo has informed Propel cardholders recently that their credit cards will be converted to the newly launched Wells Fargo Autograph Card.
Amex Wells Fargo Propel, Amex Wells Fargo Propel 365, and the Amex Wells Fargo Propel World card, will all convert to Wells Fargo Autograph Card on May 24, 2023. So these cards will convert from American Express to Visa. Wells Fargo will stop servicing Propel Card accounts, so there’s no way to keep your current card.
On May 24 you will be moved to the Autograph Card. Your account name and number will change. If you have a rewards balance, Wells Fargo will transfer it from your existing card.
The replacement card arrives by the end of June 2023. You can confirm and start using your new Autograph Card as soon as it arrives, and destroy your old card. Your current card is still available for you to use until then.
Be sure to update any recurring payments with merchants and companies that charge your card automatically, so you don’t miss any payments.
If you have the Amex Wells Fargo Propel World, make sure you use the $100 airline reimbursement credit that you get each cardmember year. Also, once your account is converted to the new Autograph Card on May 24, 2023, your annual relationship bonus that you previously had with your Propel Card will go away and no longer be offered. Your relationship bonus will be paid through April. You will receive your bonus amount on your anniversary date or after your Propel Card deactivates on 08/04/2023, whichever comes first.
If you don’t want the Autograph Card, you can opt out of the changes by calling 1-866-568-6521. If you opt out of the changes, you will no longer be able to use your account for new transactions and your account will be closed.

If I already have the Wells Fargo Autograph card along with the Visa Signature and Propel, if I close my Propel account, will my points go away, or are they pooled together in the Wells Fargo Rewards and they are safe as long as I have a point earning card?
