Walmart Now Offers Free Shipping On $35 Orders, Kills ShippingPass

Walmart decided to get rid of the paid subscription that offered free two-day shipping on all orders for $49 a year. ShippingPass started in 2015 but it wasn’t advertised much and didn’t offer much else besides free shipping. It was meant to rival Amazon Prime, but although that service costs $99 a year, it has lots of extra perks attached to it that make it well worth the price.

Walmart will now replace its ShippingPass with free two-day shipping for everyone as long as you spend at least $35 (the free shipping threshold used to be $50 if you didn’t have a ShippingPass subscription). If you ship your order to a Walmart store, there is no minimum order amount and shipping is free.

Walmart’s two-day shipping product selection will be heavily focused on consumable products. This is the type of stuff you might need delivered quickly, like packaged foods, toothpaste, deodorant, diapers, shampoo etc..

Those who already paid for a ShippingPass membership, will be refunded within 30 days.
