From 10/9/15 to 10/15/15 you can earn 4x fuel points when you purchase eBay gift cards at Stop & Shop (or Giant). You have to present your Stop & Shop card when purchasing the gift cards and also when redeeming your points at the gas station.
Here’s how the fuel points work. Every 100 points are worth $0.10 off per gallon on your fill up of up to 35 gallons. If you buy a $500 worth of the listed gift cards, you will receive 2000 points. That would be $2.00 off per gallon. Multiply that by how many gallons you can pump in one fill up, to calculate your profits. The limit is 35 gallons, which will rarely be reached with just one tank. It might make sense to fill up two cars at once. The more you can pump in one transaction, the better the deal gets.
You can only redeem up to 2200 points per transaction, which is $2.20 off per gallon, so you need to buy $550 in eBay gift cards for a full tank of gas. If you do the max of 35 gallons then that’s a $77 discount, which makes it the cheapest way to purchase eBay gift cards.
They expire after 30 days from the day of purchase, so make sure to buy enough gift cards that will cover your usual gas expenses, but don’t go overboard. Points can be reedemed at Stop & Shop gas stations and at participating Shell locations which can be found here. In New Jersey, savings apply after fueling at the posted price and will appear on the receipt.
