Back in 2015 SPG and Uber partnered up to give you Starpoints for Uber rides. Initially you could earn 1 Starpoint per dollar and up to 4X during stays if you were a Platinum member. Then earlier this year, the rate dropped to the following:
- Earn 1 Starpoint per US$2 spent with Uber every day
- Earn 2 Starpoints per US$1 spent with Uber during stays
Now Starwood has announced that the partnership is ending at the end of the year. You can sill keep earning 1 Starpoint for every $2 spent with Uber till 12/17/17 and 2 Starpoints per $1 during Starwood stays.
OUR PARTNERSHIP IS COMING TO AN END DECEMBER 17, 2017.
- Earning Starpoints® with Uber will officially end on December 17, 2017, at 11:59 p.m. EST.
- You don’t need to take any action. Your SPG® account and the Starpoints you’ve earned with Uber will not be affected.
- If you haven’t yet, you can still take advantage of the new-rider credit. Follow the steps below.
