Plastiq, Visa Cards Coding as Cash Advance Plus Other Limitations

Plastiq has announced some changes to payment made with Visa cards, starting today. Effective June 1, customers may notice two temporary changes for select personal VISA credit cards. Plastiq is working with VISA to resolve this situation for the limited cards affected. First, the following cards will not be affected:

Capital One personal VISA credit card
Visa business, corporate, debit, and prepaid cards
American Express*, Mastercard, Discover & JCB cards
Personal VISA credit card used to pay a business in Canada

If you have a scheduled payment and your transaction may be treated as a cash advance, we will cancel the payment & notify you accordingly. (HT: DoC)

Alaska Airlines Visa Signature	Payments will be treated as a cash advance, and incur all cash advance-related fees & receive no card rewards. We recommend changing the card to one that will not be impacted (as listed above).
Amazon Rewards Visa Signature Card	Payments made through Plastiq may be subject to a lower card limit (typically ~20% of your total card limit). Your transaction will otherwise be treated with full rewards.
Asiana Visa Signature	Payments will be treated as a cash advance, and incur all cash advance-related fees & receive no card rewards. We recommend changing the card to one that will not be impacted (as listed above).
