If you pay your rent with RadPad make sure you switch to a differents service, or send the rent check yourself because Pay with RadPad is shutting down today. You can still use the app to find a new apartment, condo, or home, but not to pay rent.
The company sent out emails yesterday around 6:25PM informing customers that effective today, they will no longer process rent payments. At the end of the month all payment accounts will be deleted.
We wanted to let you know that effective Thursday, October 13, 2016, we will no longer be processing and paying rent payments
As a current RadPad rent payer, RadPad will no longer be making rent payments for you. Effective immediately, you will need to find an alternative for making your rent payments. We apologize for any inconvenience this may cause you.
On Monday, October 31, 2016, your RadPad payment account, which includes your payment information, landlord’s information, and rent payment history will be permanently deleted.
Thank you very much for allowing us to pay your rent.
This might be bad news for some who used the service to pay their rent with CSR since it coded as travel but also to others who took advantage of the low debit card fee.
There were some hints a few weeks ago that RadPad might not last. A few people were reporting bounced rent checks and an article surfaced claiming that the company had cashflow issues. I guess it’s time to take a look at Plastiq.
