Traveling to Colombia
Air travel is getting easier, but you never know for sure what the future brings. As of now, the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) has issued a Level 4 Travel Health Notice for Colombia due to COVID-19.  The State Department has also issued a Level 3 Travel Advisory for Colombia.
Colombia’s Ministry of Health requires all inbound international passengers to have a negative COVID-19 test result. Travelers arriving to Colombia must present negative results from a COVID-19 PCR test administered no more than 96 hours prior to departure. However, airlines may allow the boarding of travelers who do not have this test, provided they state under oath that they were unable to take a test or obtain the result within the required timeframe. In these cases, the Colombian government will require testing and/or isolation upon arrival in Colombia. Further details can be found in the PDF file on this page.Â
Some cities have instituted curfews and other limits on movement at different times since the pandemic began. As of February 17, there is no curfew in Bogota. There are no longer national prohibitions on intercity or interstate travel. However, regional and city governments may impose prohibitions or restrictions on a case-by-case basis.
