NYC Restaurant Week, Get Lunch or Dinner for Just $10

Update (Feb. 6, 2021) – NYC Restaurant Week To Go is available for participating restaurants with delivery and take out options through the individual restaurant’s website and/or through Seamless, Grubhub or Tock. Offer has been extyended through February 28, 2021. The promotion is not available for dine-in at all participating restaurants, so please check with each restaurant beforehand. Promotion may not be available for Valentine’s Day, February 14, 2021. The Mastercard promotion has also been extended through the end of March. (HT: BougieMiles)

Update (Jan. 30, 2021): PayPal Key works to trigger the $10 credit. That means that you can use other cards as well, and the transaction gets processed through Mastercard. American Express cards can’t be used with PayPal Key though.

Also check if any of the restaurants are listed in any cashback sites or apps. One of the restaurants I ordered from was listed in the Seated app, so I also earned another 10% back. Check the SoFi debit card offers as well, as they have many local businesses and restaurants listed.

New York City Restaurant Week is back, but this time it will be different from what were used to. Indoor dining is currently not an option in the city, so NYC Restaurant Week that kicks off today will offer deals for takeout or delivery only.

This year’s event is called NYC Restaurant Week To Go and it includes a total of 570 restaurants across the five boroughs. That’s 200 more restaurants than in any previous Restaurant Week. You can get amazing meals at home for just $20.21. Available for takeout or delivery during lunch or dinner, it’s the warmest way to dine this winter, and give thanks to the restaurants who keep serving through it all. This year’s promotion runs from January 25, 2021, through January 31, 2021.

But it gets even better. You can register your Mastercard and earn $10 back on every transaction of $20.21 or more. That means that every meal will be just $10.21 after that discount. Cardholders may receive up to $100 total in statement credits for the duration of the promotion when eligible.

Organizer NYC & Company waived fees for participating restaurants this year and the following delivery platforms have agreed to discount commissions or waive their fees during the promotional period: Seamless and Grubhub, BentoBox, Bbot and Tock.

Some of the most popular restaurants participating in this year’s program include: José Andrés (Mercado Little Spain); Joe Bastianich (Babbo, Casa Mono, Eataly, Lupa); Tren’ness Woods-Black (Sylvia’s); Daniel Boulud (Bar Boulud, Epicerie Boulud); Andrew Carmellini (Bar Primi, The Dutch, Lafayette, Leuca, Locanda Verde, Westlight); Leah Cohen (Pig & Khao); Daniel Kruger (Loring Place); Keith McNally (Minetta Tavern, Morandi, Pastis); Danny Meyer (Blue Smoke, Daily Provisions, Gramercy Tavern, Intersect by Lexus, Marta, Tacocina, Union Square Cafe); Marcus Samuelsson (Red Rooster); Stephen Starr (El Vez, Pastis, Upland); Michael Stillman (Quality Eats); Jean-Georges Vongerichten (The Fulton, JoJo, Mercer Kitchen, Nougatine, Perry Street). You can see the full list of available restaurants here.
