Here’s how to get started:
- Submit your email address to receive the PROMO CODE. Be sure to use the same email address when you open your account.
- Enter the PROMO CODE you receive via email when you open your account online or bring it to a branch location near you by December 1, 2017.
- Meet the qualifications for the $300 cash bonus.
To get the $300 bonus you must:
- Open a new High Interest Checking account with new money not currently held by IBERIABANK;
- Maintain a daily minimum balance of $5,000 or more; AND
- Have $500 or more of combined direct deposit per statement cycle made to this account within 60 days of account opening.
Direct deposit must be an electronic deposit of a paycheck, pension, or government benefits (such as Social Security) from an employer or the government.
$300 bonus will be credited to the new checking account within 90 days from account opening if the above checking requirements have been completed
Eligibility

Limit of one cash bonus per household in a 12-month period. Offer is not available to clients whose accounts have been closed within 90 days or closed with a negative balance.
Fees
The High Interest Checking Account has a $20 monthly fee. It can be waived with a balance of $5000 in the account.
If your new checking account is closed within the first six months, the earned bonus will be deducted at account closing.
Guru’s Wrap-Up
The bonus was better when it didn’t require a direct deposit, but it still a large bonus that’s worth doing if you’re in one of the lucky states.
The only issue is the $20 monthly fee, which is waived with a $5,000 daily balance, which is required anyway to get the bonus. If you were earning 5% on that money then you’re losing out a bit less than $20 interest monthly.
