Chase Closing Sapphire Lounge at Hong Kong International Airport

๐Ÿ”ƒ Update (Dec 07, 2025) – The Chase Sapphire Lounge by The Club Hong Kong International Airport (HKG) will shut down on January 5, 2026. This was the first ever Sapphire Lounge which opened more than three years ago in October of 2022. You can see the announcement here.

โžก๏ธ Original article (Oct 25, 2022) – More than a year ago, Chase first revealed plans to open its own Chase Sapphire Lounges. Soon after it revealed the first nine airports where these lounges would be located. At least five of those are in the U.S. and one in Hong Kong. The latter has now opened its doors and is welcoming guests as the first ever Chase Sapphire Lounge.

The Chase Sapphire Lounge by the Club Hong Kong opened today at Hong Kong International Airport Terminal 1. The 11,948 square foot lounge is located on level 7 near gate 40, in the West Hall of the International Departures area. Those departing from the East Hall can access the lounge via shuttle or a 10 minute walk. Initially, the lounge will be open from 8 a.m. to 8 p.m. local time.

This is not a newly build location, but it replaces The Club lounge that was previously there. So this could not be an exact indication of what the other lounges will look like. Chase Sapphire lounges are built and operated in partnership with Airport Dimensions.

The lounge experience and design draw inspiration from the city and guests can find amenities like seasonal dining options, craft cocktails, local beers, curated wine list and comfortable environment to relax or work. The lounge offers digital food and beverage orders, complimentary high-speed Wi-Fi, as well as access to media and entertainment.

How to Access Chase Sapphire Lounges

You can access the lounge with a Priority Pass or Lounge Key membership showing your physical or digital card on entrance. Chase Sapphire Reserve cardmembers can use the complimentary Priority Pass membership that is an existing benefit on the Sapphire Reserve card.

The Chase Sapphire Reserve card currently has a 80,000 Ultimate Rewards points welcome bonus. Sapphire Reserve cardmembers will also continue to enjoy Priority Pass Select membership, enabling them access to a global network of 1,300+ lounges, in addition to the new Chase Sapphire Lounge by the Club.

Chase Sapphire Preferred members will not have access to Chase Sapphire Lounges even though the name would suggest so.
