Walgreens is again offering free AARP memberships for those who make a purchase by October 1, 2016. You order must must include at least $15 worth of Walgreens brand health and wellness products in order to qualify. The mail-in membership form prints at the cash register at check out. Works on existing memberships too, as a one year extension. A one year membership is worth $16 so you’re basically getting it for free.
In case you didn’t know, AARP it’s open to anyone. You do not have to be “old”. I have a membership myself and it comes with some good benefits that can easily cover the annual fee. You get car rental discounts, hotel and fares discounts, 10% off at AT&T, discounted car insurance, discounts at few chain restaurants, drugstore discounts and much more. I actually just used my AARP membership for a car rental discount in Bostonlast weekend after I flew up there on a 38 minute Jetblue flight for that Virgin match promo.
