Citi ThankYou program now has one less transfer partner. Sometime in the last few days, Garuda Indonesia has been removed from the list of partners. If you haven’t noticed, I don’t blame you. It wasn’t really one of the coolest options for using Citi ThankYou points. But I have written about Garuda once in the past, when they had an insane 90% redemption discount a few years back.
The removal of Garuda now leaves Flying Blue as Citi’s only SkyTeam transfer partner. On the other hand, I believe Citi was the only option for transferring points to Garuda, so those who were using the program should be impacted by this.
