Chase Warns Cardholders of Abusing Big Chase Offers

Chase Offers are usually great for small savings at select merchants. But some offers can get you discounts of $500 and $1,000 at some luxury stores. Two current offers that some people have in their accounts are:

  • Earn $500 cash back when you spend $1,500 or more at 11 HonorĂ©!
  • Earn $1,000 cash back when you spend $3,000 or more at Kwiat!

Chase has messaged many cardholders today about these offers, warning them that terms have changed and that abusing these offers may result in the exclusion from future offers. I’m guessing some people have already tried this and that is why Chase is changing the terms and warning others. And that is the reason why you might see multiple secured messages in your Chase account. There is also another big offer for $500 off a $2,000 purchase at Tourneau, and there’s no messages about that one, but the same warning should still be valid.

Chase doesn’t go after these credits like Amex does, but these are $500 and $1,000 credits we are talking about. Here’s one of the messages that was sent out, as reported by Doctor of Credit:

Offer valid one time only. Statement credit may be reversed if qualifying purchase is returned/cancelled. Offer expires 9/30/2020. Payment must be made directly with the merchant. May not be combined with other promotions or discounts. Not applicable towards prior purchases. Abuse of offers may result in the exclusion from future offers.
