Improved Referral and Welcome Bonus for Chase Marriott Cards
Chase has improved the referral bonus for Chase Marriott cardholders, doubling the amount that you earn for every friend you refer, and also the maximum you can earn within a year. Additionally, the welcome bonus for new applicants has also been improved with a lower spending requirement.
Referral Bonus
You can earn up to 200,000 bonus points each calendar year. That’s 40,000 bonus points for each friend who gets the card. Your friend chooses any card.
Welcome Bonus
- Marriott Bonvoy Boundless: Earn 3 Free Nights after you spend $1,000 on purchases in your first 3 months from your account opening.
- Marriott Bonvoy Bold: Earn 1 Free Night after you spend $500 on purchases in your first 3 months from your account opening.
Each Free Night Award E-Certificate is valid for a one night hotel stay at a property with a redemption level up to 35,000 points.

The referral bonus has been doubled, so if you want the cards with the free nights offer, it gets a little better when applying through referrals. The spending requirement has also been lowered from $3,000 to $1,000 for the Boundless card and from $1,000 to $500 for the Bold card.
