Chase Freedom Flex Now Available Through Referrals

You probably know all about the Chase Freedom Flex by now as it has been big news for the last couple of weeks. This is a great no-fee Mastercard that comes with a good welcome bonus and great earning rates long term. Now there’s even better news for those that want to get the card. The same welcome bonus is also available through referrals.

This makes the bonus even better as the person referring you can get $100 or 10,000 Ultimate Rewards points for every referral. There’s an error pop-up that is showing up when you go through a referral link, but once you close it you should be able to proceed with the application and the referrer should get the referral bonus.

Generate Chase Referrals

You can earn up to $500 cash back (or 50,000 Ultimate Rewards points) per year by referring friends for any participating Chase Freedom^® card. That’s $100 cash back (or 10,000 Ultimate Rewards points) for each friend who gets any participating Chase Freedom^® card. That means that you can even refer friends for the Freedom Flex from your old Freedom or Freedom Unlimited card.

Eligibility

This product is available to you if you do not have this card and have not received a new cardmember bonus for this card in the past 24 months. The card also falls under the Chase 5/24 rule, which means that you will not be approved if you have had 5 or more new credit cards within the last 24 months on your credit report.

Guru’s Wrap-up

This is probably the best no-fee card out there and a great new product from Chase in general. Chase Freedom Flex has a good welcome bonus and it is even better now that it is available through referrals. The rotating categories have been a big hit with the Chase Freedom card and now, with the Freedom Flex you also get 3% on dining and drugstore purchases. The fact that it is a Mastercard also gets you the additional World Elite Benefits.

If you are concerned about the pop-up, you could wait a bit and see if it gets fixed, but that’s something that has been going on for a while with other referrals as well. It should still track though.
