American Express has a great new offer for the Amex Business Gold Card. You can earn up to 100,000 Membership Rewards points when you apply and also add one employee card. The offer doesn’t seem to have the usual lifetime language either, but make sure to check your own offer carefully. This is a great welcome bonus for the Amex Business Gold Card. You need to spend $10,000 in the first 3 months to earn the 90,000 points bonus and then $1,000 more with an Employee Card to earn another 10,000 points. That’s a lot of spending, so make sure you are able to complete it before applying. The offer has no lifetime language either from what I see so that is another reason why this offer is great. It means you can get around the lifetime restriction and get a bonus on this card once again.

I used to get a new gold card every month using applications from an AMEX rep. She moved to a new role mid-year and I have been dragging out my cards for the rest of the year but I’m about to bump heads with the max spend. I got approved for one offer a couple of months ago but each subsequent month attempt, I am receiving a “cancelled” letter stating that because I’ve gotten a card within the past few months, they cancelled the application. We used to have no problem opening a new card every month. Has something changed? What should be the expected time frame between card applications for approval? Because of the hard limit of 10 for number of business cards and my total spend, I need to get at least a couple of cards cancelled and opened up each year. Now I’m worried about cancelling any of the cards for fear that I won’t be able to get more down the road.
There’s a 3 months wait for getting approved for the same card. That’s been a rule for a while.
theoretically if i spend 10k on the employee card only, would this trigger the full 100k?
This offer appeared to work for me. I was getting “offer not available” a few weeks ago for this one or similar ones I found. But I have another card on the way for now.
so if i spend 1k on employee card first and then another 9k on primary card will i get both bonus for total of 10k spend?
