American Airlines AAdvantage Status Match
American Airlines has launched a new status match offer for those who already have status with its rivals. That includes Delta SkyMiles, United MileagePlus, JetBlue TrueBlue or Southwest Rapid Rewards. While the terms are mostly the same as previous offers, Southwest Rapid Rewards members can get a better deal than usual. With many of them looking for other options after the disastrous Southwest changes, this is good timing to possibly get AAdvantage Platinum Pro. Let’s see how this works.

- Submit proof of your earned status with Delta SkyMiles®, United MileagePlus®, JetBlue TrueBlue® or Southwest Rapid Rewards®.
- Southwest Rapid Rewards: Send screenshots of Rapid Rewards Account Summary, including:
- Your first and last name
- Your A-list status expiration and Rapid Rewards® number
- Delta SkyMiles: Send screenshots of SkyMiles account, including:

How to Keep Your Matched Status
Meet a Loyalty Point goal every 4 months to continue enjoying AAdvantage® status and move on to the next phase. Once you meet all 3 goals, you’ll qualify for status for the rest of the membership year.
Once registered, the member must earn points in the first 4 months of the promotion, as detailed below:
- 13,000 Loyalty Points to keep AAdvantage Gold
- 25,000 Loyalty Points to keep AAdvantage Platinum
- 42,000 Loyalty Points to keep AAdvantage Platinum Pro
- 67,000 Loyalty Points to keep AAdvantage Executive Platinum.
What AAdvantage Status Can You Get?
As mentioned above, this limited-time offer provides a higher status match within the AAdvantage® program for Southwest Rapid Rewards® A-List and A-list Preferred members. A-List Preferred members can now get AAdvantage Platinum Pro instead of AAdvantage Platinum. Offer valid on submissions received from March 12, 2025 through June 30, 2025 at 11:59 p.m. CT.
Important Terms
- Members who have registered for the Instant Status Pass™ promotion in the last 2 years are not eligible for this offer. Members who already hold the equivalent or higher AAdvantage® status are not eligible for status matching.

- Submission of fraudulent or forged documentation may result in termination of your AAdvantage® account.
- To be eligible for the status match promotion, the applicant must be a current AAdvantage® member in good standing and a current Delta SkyMiles®, United MileagePlus®, JetBlue TrueBlue® or Southwest Rapid Rewards® status member.
- The first and last name on the Delta SkyMiles®, United MileagePlus®, JetBlue TrueBlue® or Southwest Rapid Rewards® membership cards and the AAdvantage® member account must match.
- This offer is only valid for Delta SkyMiles®, United MileagePlus®, JetBlue TrueBlue® and Southwest Rapid Rewards® members who met the full status qualification requirements. Matched, transferred, lifetime or promotional status holders are not eligible for this offer.
