Acorns, Get $200 When You Refer 4 Friends Plus $5 Signup Bonus in January

Acorns has a new referral bonus available this month. If you invite 4 friends, you will get $200 on top of the $5 per referral that you already get. Plus you get $5 when you sign up yourself if you don’t have an account. The offer is for referrals completed this month only, but usually we see something similar every month.

Offer

The more people investing in their future, the better. If you get 4 friends to join by January 31, we’ll invest $200 into your Acorns Core account. That’s on top of the $5 you and they already earn.

Offer Terms

  • Friends must sign up and have an account in good standing and make their first investment by 1/31/2020.
  • Bonuses are paid out by 2/15/2020.
  • Referrals who close their account before 2/15/2020, or make an investment that results in a reversal from their bank, will not qualify for the promotion.

What is Acorns

Acorns is an investing app that round up your daily purchases and automatically invests the ‘change’ into a diversified portfolio of ETFs. Acorns makes it cheaper to invest, but it’s not free. It will cost you $1 per month for accounts under $5,000, or 0.25% per year for accounts over $5,000. Individuals under 24 years of age and those attending college pay no fees. You can read more about the app here.

They also have a ‘Found Money’ rewards program that works like a cashback portal, but the cash back is invested instead.

Guru’s Wrap-up

A good app for automated investing, but you get charged $1 per month. With the bonus though, if you can manage to refer 4 people this month, it makes sense to sign up. You can check out this list of apps and websites for more investing options and free stocks.
