SPG is offering a nice promo for the personal Amex card, whcih they also had back in October 2016. You can earn an extra 5,000 Starpoints after you spend $5,000 in qualifying purchases on your enrolled Starwood Preferred Guest Credit Card from American Express between the time you complete enrollment and May 31, 2017. Enrollment period ends on March 31, 2017.

The promo is targeted. You can log in here and check if you have the personal Amex SPG card. You’ll need to activate it first, and then do the spending required. With the previous offer, some people had success by calling in, even if they weren’t targeted online, so you could give it a shot.

This is basically 2 Starpoint per dollar if you spend $5,000 by the end of the year. These are very valuable points, often well over 2 cents a piece, so this will make sense for lots of people looking to stay at SPG properties or even transfer them to travel partners.

Extra points will be credited to your account 10-12 weeks after you reach the Purchase Requirement.
