Guru’s Wrap-up

This is a great offer for Chase Sapphire Preferred and matches the best bonus we have ever seen for this card (from 2021). However, the offer is targeted. You must have received a mailer directly in order to qualify. And I would suspect that that’s very rare.

So what are your options if you didn’t get this offer from Chase? The 90,000 points offer is available at Chase branches with a $6,000 spending requirement.

We also might see an improved public offer online soon since there are increased offers in-branch and through targeted mailers. Normally those offers become available through referrals, which sweetens the deal considerably.

But no matter what offer you go for, beware of the eligibility requirements. The Chase Sapphire Preferred falls under the Chase 5/24 rule, and you are not eligible if you have any Sapphire card and have received a new cardmember bonus for any Sapphire card in the past 48 months.
