Wacoal iPants Caffeinated Undergarments Class Action Settlement

The FTC sued Wacoal alleging that the company made misleading claims about its iPant products. The company claimed its caffeine-infused women’s undergarments would slim hips and thighs and reduce the appearance of cellulite. But the FTC says Wacoal didn’t have adequate scientific support for these claims.


If you bought Wacoal iPant products after January 2011, you can apply for a refund, but it has to be before the May 19, 2015 deadline. The settlement pool is $1,300,000 but the estimated settlement per person is not specified. There’s no prrof required, although they can choose to ask you for more info if they see it necessary.

All purchasers of Wacoal iPants products after January 2011. Products included are:

  • Legging (Style No. 804171)
  • Mid-Thigh Shaper (Style No. 804271)
  • Hi-Waist Long Leg Shaper (Style No. 805171)
  • Brief (Style No. 808171)
  • Long Leg Shaper (Style No. 809171
