No More CashBack on VGC Purchases from GiftCards.com

Yazing announced on Twitter that Giftcards.com will no longer offer cashback on Visa Gift Card purchases starting May 1, 2018. Currently you’re able to get as much as 1.25% cashback on these purchases from shopping portals, but it seems that starting next month this option will be gone.

DoC also notes that Topcashback has announced on their site that cash back on Visa Gift cards will end in 6 days. Mastercard gift cards will not be affected, for now at least.

  1. Simon online had a ‘glitch’ last weekend up to early morning Monday, Apr 30. There were no purchase fees for their Visa GCs! Any amount VGC purchased just added .49 for shipping. Twas nice while it lasted so it’s best to keep an eye on glitches like this the demise of portal bonuses on Visa GCs.

afaik, MCGCs still earn CBs from portals but they are a lot more challenging to drain at WM but no problems draining them at grocery stores. Think twice about buying them if WM/neighborhood market is your only place to buy MOs/load Serve/Bluebird.

    1. Didn’t know about it, but Staples has the same deal coming next week 🙂

      1. I’m not too excited about $200 VGCs because they’re quite challenging to drain anywhere regardless if it’s fee free. I do split tender so always prefer $500s.

With the Simon online VGCs, they’re $500 and takes orders a little less than $10K per order. I received the order from 29th today and they’ve been drained out at WM via MOs and BP.

        1. Definitely better with the $500 vgcs
