United Caps Premier Qualifying Point Earnings On Partner Flights
United Airlines has capped the number of Premier Qualifying Points (PQPs) that can be earned from partner flights. This was one of the best remaining options to earn status with United. The new policy goes into effect on July 1, 2020, for flights booked starting April 29, 2020.
Last year the airline switched to dynamic pricing for partner awards and made major changes to Premier status requirements, favoring frequent short-haul fliers or very big spenders.

Guru’s Wrap-up
Bad news for those who were flying on Star Alliance partner airlines and crediting flights to Mileage Plus. United Airlines clearly want you to spend money on their flights, as they are hurting for cash just like any other airline.
