The airline is adding more than 480 daily flights to its U.S. schedule to offer an average of over 3,100 total daily domestic flights to more than 240 U.S. destinations.
Starting in July, United will offer new direct flights from Newark Liberty International Airport to Dubrovnik, Croatia, from Washington Dulles International Airport to Athens, Greece and from Chicago O’Hare International Airport to Reykjavik, Iceland.

The rapid Abbott ID NOW COVID-19 test will be administered by GoHealth Urgent Care and their partner Dignity Health. Results will be provided in approximately 15 minutes and will be available to United customers on the same day as their flight departing from SFO.
The new change fee policy applies to all standard Economy and Premium cabin tickets for travel within the U.S. 50 states, Puerto Rico and the U.S. Virgin Islands and customers will not be limited in the number of times they adjust their flights.

United Airlines has capped the number of Premier Qualifying Points (PQPs) that can be earned from partner flights. This was one of the best remaining options to earn status with United. The new policy goes into effect on July 1, 2020, for flights booked starting April 29, 2020.
United is extending status for those who have it, making it easier to earn going forward and is extending upgrades and subscriptions. All of the changes will be updated automatically and reflected in customers’ accounts in the coming weeks.
Newark is one of United’s hubs. The airline will go from 139 flights per day to 62 destinations to 15 daily flights to just nine destinations. At LaGuardia flights will be reduced from 18 per day to four destinations to just two daily flights to one destination.
So make sure you call right away and ask yo get miles back if your flight was canceled. United has been all over the place with its cancellation and refund policies, so better to do it now.
“Due to government mandates or restrictions in place prohibiting travel, we are reducing our international schedule by 95% for April”, the airline said in a statement.
