A United Airlines flight made an emergency landing in Hawaii after one of its engines apparently caught fire. The plane was flying from Hawaii to Majuro, the capital of the Marshall Islands. But, it was forced to turn back to Honolulu on Sunday, soon after taking off from Daniel K. Inouye International Airport.
A passenger on Flight 132 was taking a video, and saw flames coming out of the engine. The plane was carrying 142 passengers on board, but luckily no injuries were reported as it landed safely in Honolulu.
Some of the passengers were re-booked on other flights soon after. But, some others may need to wait until the end of the week to get to Majuro, due to the limited flights servicing this route.
A United spokesperson told KHON in Honolulu that the flight experienced a mechanical issue with one of the engines a little while after taking off and as a result, returned to Daniel K. Inouye International Airport. The plane with the engine problem is now out of service.

That’s scary. But I have to say that the image looks much worse than the video itself.
