Online ride-hailing service Uber has partnered with the group Mothers Against Drunk Drivers to offer free or discounted rides in certain areas of NY, NJ and MA on Wednesday, Nov. 27, the night before Thanksgiving.
Uber users can enter the promo code on the Uber app. (Go to the menu, tap payment and then Add Promo.) The promo is good for up to $10 on a ride hailed between 9 p.m Nov. 27 and 3 a.m. Nov. 28. Here’s the eligible areas:
- Upstate NY: Code= “SAFERIDENY19“
- Long Island, NY: Code= “SAFENY19“
- New Jersey (Central and South Jersey, from Middlesex County down to Cape May.): Code= “SAFERIDENJ19“
- Massachusetts (MetroWest, central Massachusetts and Western Massachusetts) Code= “SAFERIDEMA19“
