Big Southwest Credit Card Bonuses Now Available Through Referrals

Referring friends and family members for credit cards is an easy way to earn extra miles and points from a card you already have in your wallet. If you have a Chase Southwest card, you can now refer friends to get some huge bonuses that are available for personal and business cards. Your friend can earn up to 80,000 points with any Southwest Rapid Rewards personal Credit Card and business owners can earn up to 100,000 points with Southwest Rapid Rewards Business Credit Cards. Plus, your friend can earn 5 points per $1 spent on Southwest® purchases.

How to Get Referral Links

If you have a Chase Southwest card, go to the Chase referral page to get your referral links. Just enter your last name, zip code and last 4 digits of your credit card number.

You can earn up to 50,000 points per year. That’s 10,000 points for each referral, up to 5, that gets approved. You can be rewarded if your friend gets any Southwest Rapid Rewards Credit Card, even if it is a different card than yours.

In the event the bonus points you earn from all referral offers exceeds the 50,000 per calendar year limit, you may be awarded a partial amount to keep your total bonus at 50,000 bonus points. For example if you have already accumulated 45,000 bonus points from refer-a-friend offers that calendar year and the maximum is 50,000 bonus points per calendar year, then the next award will be 5,000 even if the offer states 10,000.

Just make sure the person you refer uses the link to apply so you can earn bonus points. It will expire after 6 months.

There’s also a tracker in the referral page that will let you know how many Ultimate Rewards points you have received this year through referrals on that specific card.
