SkyOne FCU Bonus, Get Up to $700 with Checking and Savings

SkyOne Federal Credit Union has a new promotion that could earn you up to $700 for opening a new checking and savings account. The offer is available nationwide, but you need to join the credit union first through one of their partners. It involves a small fee or donation of $10 or less. You can also earn even more with referrals after you receive your SkyOne FCU bonus.

With this offer you can earn up to $200 with a checking account and another $500 with a savings account.

• New Checking Account Bonus
  • Earn $100 when you set up direct deposit (Within 90 days of account opening, receive a total of $1,000 or more in qualifying direct deposits per statement cycles for two consecutive cycles within the first two months.)
  • Earn $100 for depositing $2,500 or more in new money (Deposit $2,500 or more in new money within 60 calendar days of opening a new SkyOne checking account. Maintain a daily balance of $2,500 for 120 consecutive days.)
• Savings Account Bonus
  • Earn $100, up to $500 for each $5,000 in deposits, up to $25,000 in deposits

Bonus payments will be made as follows:

• Checking bonus will be deposited 10 days after completing requirements.
• The savings bonus will be paid out within 10 days of the 9th month of account being opened and funds on deposit. Cash bonus will be deposited into the primary savings account.

Eligibility

• Offer is available nationwide for SkyOne FCU members.
• To become a member you can make a donation to surfrider, or join ACC (American Consumer Council) for $10. This can get you membership at several other credit union as well.
• You are not eligible for the checking offer if you are a current owner of a SkyOne checking account and have direct deposit.
• You are not eligible for this offer if you are a current owner of a SkyOne account.

Fees

Advantage checking come with a $5 monthly fee that is waived with one of the following conditions:

• Under 25 or over 65 years of age or over
• Minimum average daily share balance of $2,500 across all primary account holder’s accounts
• Make monthly aggregate deposits of $1,000 or more in SkyOne Advantage Checking Account
• Have an active Visa® credit card, or line of credit, including HELOC (activity is defined as carrying a balance or making purchases each month that total $100 or more)
• Have a current consumer loan, including mortgage
• Make a minimum of 10 debit card POS (point-of-sale) transactions

There’s no early closing fee.

Referral Bonus

Current SkyOne Federal Credit Union members are eligible to refer and receive a total of $500 in annual “referrer bonuses.” The referring member will receive a $25 gift card for each valid referral, with a limit of 10 referrals (or $500) paid out per member per year.

A valid referral requires an individual who:

• meets SkyOne’s membership requirements
• opens a new membership at SkyOne through an in-person representative OR online
• deposits the minimum opening balance amount of $5
• maintains the new account in good standing for a period of thirty (30) days
• and maintains good standing with the Credit Union as a member for a period of thirty (30) days.

This is a great bonus. You can earn a total of $700 if you open a checking and savings account. Opening the account will take some extra steps as you first need to become a member of SkyOne Federal Credit Union. The cheapest option is to just make a donation to surfrider. But you should also consider joining ACC for $10 as you can possible use it for other bonuses.

To get the full $700 you need to wait 9+ months. The $200 checking bonus is much quicker. You will get the $200 after you complete your direct deposit requirements and deposit $2,500 in the account.
