Sapphire Reserve for Business The Edit Credit Rises to $1,000

Chase is increasing one of the hotel benefits on the Sapphire Reserve for Businessโ„ , with the annual value of The Edit credit set to double next year.

Starting January 1, 2027, cardholders will be able to get up to $1,000 annually in statement credits for qualifying prepaid bookings made through The Editโ„ , Chaseโ€™s collection of premium hotels and resorts.

The card currently offers up to $500 per year for eligible The Edit stays. Beginning in 2027, Chase will add two additional $250 credits, bringing the total annual value to $1,000.

How The Edit Credit Works

Under the current structure, Sapphire Reserve for Business cardholders can receive up to $500 annually in The Edit statement credits, split into two $250 credits. Starting in 2027, that will increase to four $250 credits for a total of $1,000 per year.

The benefit applies to qualifying prepaid bookings through The Edit, rather than direct hotel bookings. Chase has not yet published the full 2027 terms, but I would assume that everything else remains the same.

The Edit bookings also come with additional property-level benefits such as daily breakfast for two, property credits, room upgrades when available, early check-in and late checkout, depending on the hotel and rate.

Guruโ€™s Wrap-Up

This is aa improvement for Sapphire Reserve for Business cardholders who regularly use The Edit. Doubling the benefit from $500 to $1,000 per year adds a lot more potential value, especially for cardholders who already book premium hotels through Chase.

The catch is that the credit is still being structured as separate $250 credits rather than one credit of up $1,000. That makes it more challenging to extract good value from the credit as you will often have to pay a substantial amount out of pocket.
