New Premium World of Hyatt Credit Card Coming Soon?
The Chase World of Hyatt credit card is a popular product. It normally gets you a good welcome bonus and it is also a card worth having in your wallet long term.
The current welcome offer gets you 30,000 Bonus Points after you spend $3,000 in your first 3 months from account opening. Plus, up to 30,000 More Bonus Points by earning 2 Bonus Points total per $1 spent in the first 6 months from account opening on purchases that normally earn 1 Bonus Point, on up to $15,000 spent. There’s also a good opportunity for those chasing status. If you apply by 9/30/21, upon approval you’ll also get 2 Tier-Qualifying Night Credits for each night you stay through 12/31/21.
If you already are a fan of the Chase World of Hyatt credit card, then things could get even better. A new premium card could be in the works, and coming soon.
An FT post reports that a Chase supervisor said that “there’s a new premium World of Hyatt credit card in the works and will be announced in a few weeks.” There’s really no additional information besides that. But I think it is a direction that makes sense considering the success of the World of Hyatt credit card, the value of Hyatt points and the brand loyalty that many people have.
What can you expect from the new card? My guess is that this credit card will have more Hyatt focused perks such as status, and maybe credits. We should also see some of the benefits that we normally get from other premium cards. But there’s also the question of current Hyatt cardmembers’ eligibility.
Let me know what you would want from a premium Hyatt card, and what kind of annual fee would you expect?

I’m calling BS. But even if they launch a premium Hyatt card, it will have a Hyatt card family limit. So people that actually stay at Hyatt and have the card will not be eligible.
They should launch a business card instead. I don’t need another $500 annual fee to worry about.
